Vix Blue Limestone

Available in: 40 x 40 x 2 cm - 60 x 40 x 2 cm

History:

Vix Blue dates back to the early Jurassic period (approximately 140 million years ago). Due to it’s hardness it was only used for architectural features however with the development of modern cutting techniques it is now possible to use this rock hard material as a tile.

Colour / Texture:

A very hard fine grain honed limestone with mid grey background and light brown veining. There are also some attractive fossil deposits.

Character:

Ideal for contemporary schemes. Especially suited when laid alongside light wooden kitchens and those that use lots of stainless steel accessories.

Points to note:

  1. Due to its extreme hardness it can be laid anywhere. Suitable for any high traffic area such as kitchens or entrances.
  2. Looks particularly good when used as a chequerboard floor with either Refined French or Bulgarian Limestone.

Interiors and exterior flooring as well as architectural details/facings and sculptures.
