Blue English Limestone
Available in coursed lengths 30-60 x 30-40 x 2.5 cm & 60 x 40 x 2.5 cm
History:
Blue English Limestone has been quarried and cherished for generations since Roman times. It has been used in St. Paul’s Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral and the Oxford and Cambridge Universities. This stone was also a favourite material of the famous English sculptor, Henry Moore.
Colour / Texture:
A smooth honed mid to dark green tile with pronounced veining which varies from light to rusty brown and grey-purple.
Character:
This stone is now rare and has always been cherished as its pedigree of famous buildings demonstrates. Despite being a quarried material this floor will give any property an instant period feel.
Points to note:
- A hard traditional stone and suitable for any high traffic area such as kitchens or entrances.
- Make sure the tiles are carefully sorted before being laid so that the veined ones are not all bedded together.
Usage:
Interiors and exterior flooring as well as architectural details/facings and sculptures.
