Colour / Texture: 

Varies from light to predominantly mid Grey tones with some occasional darker flecks and pieces. A mixture of smooth and worn pieces. When initially laid it takes a few months of foot traffic for the original beauty of this old floor to return.

Character:

The floors are reclaimed from old properties and manor houses in and around the Languedoc region. They look superb in grand surroundings such as entrance hallways and conservatories where it is important to make a statement. Due to their traditional flagstone shape they equally are well suited to grand kitchens too.

Points to note:

  1. One of very few antique stones still available in a flagstone shape (most antique stones nowadays are found only in random sizes).
  2. As precise tile thickness cannot be guaranteed. It is therefore best to lay this material on a thick sand and cement bed. Do not attempt to lay this floor with a thin bed adhesive.
