Designers / Project Managers

£20,000 - £30,000 pa depending upon experience

Shortland are a long established family business with an enviable reputation for the design, manufacture and installation of high quality bespoke interiors, including kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. All our work from a specially commissioned piece of furniture to a totally bespoke interior design project incorporates innovative design, true English craftsmanship and an unrivalled level of personal service.

We are currently seeking to recruit experienced Designers / Project Managers. The successful applicant will primarily be required to produce detailed CAD drawings for the manufacture and installation of our furniture and therefore should be highly proficient in the use of CAD software including AutoCAD and/or Solidworks. Ideally you should have a high level of attention to detail, great problem solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Our clients are generally private homeowners looking for a very high level of customer service and professionalism therefore excellent communication skills are a must. You should also be well presented and customer orientated. Other responsibilities will include: Site surveying, furniture design, client liaison, maintaining all project data, the procurement of goods and services and product specification. In time opportunities may be available for those keen to expand the role into design/sales.
